RF is a kind of self antibody. And it is main about IgM, also includes IgG, IgA, lgD, IgE. However, different kind has different clinical use.
Recommended for use:
a. RF lgM in human serum: As an aid for RA diagnosis with serious joint function disturbance.
b. RF IgG in human serum or synovial fluid: As an aid for synovitis and vasculitis diagnosis.
c. RF IgA : As an aid for bone destruction and RF severity diagnosis.
d. RF is a good aid for RA diagnosis but not the special antibody for RA. Also it is a good aid for SLE diagnosis.
